"Trains Are Way Too Infrequent"
I had to wait way too long for a train, especially considering this is supposed to be a service people rely on for daily trips. There just aren’t enough trains running, what a joke. It makes commuting way more frustrating than it needs to be.

I’ve used ktmb.com.my a few times the booking process itself is okay. But the train timing has been really frustrating. Delays seem to happen too often, and there usually isn’t a clear update about what’s going on. I had to change my plans twice because the train arrived late, which was really inconvenient. It’s affordable, yes, but I really wish I had read the reviews first so I knew what to expect. Punctuality definitely needs to improve.

"Pretty decent overall"
I stayed here recently and for the most part it was fine. Check-in was easy, the place looked about like I expected, and I didn’t run into anything that really ruined the stay. After getting settled and using the room a bit, I did notice a couple small things here and there that could’ve been better, but nothing too serious. Overall, it was clean enough and just had a few minor issues.

"Helpful, but the wait was a bit long..."
I used ktmb.com to check on an issue with my ticket and ended up needing to contact customer service. They did get back to me, but it took quite a while before I got a clear answer. The staff was polite, and thankfully the issue was sorted out in the end... just wish the response time was a bit faster. Overall, it was okay, but there’s definitely room to improve.

"Pretty decent luggage space, but it got a little stressful"
The luggage space was actually good and my suitcase fit without much trouble, which was a relief at first. Once the train started getting busy though, it felt a bit tight and I found myself worrying about whether my bag was in the way. Overall it worked fine, just not the most relaxing when the carriage filled up.

The seats were okay and I didn’t have any real issue sitting there, but the bathroom kind of ruined the vibe for me. I was already not in the best mood, and seeing the toilet floor a bit dirty just made it feel worse

"A simple train ride becomes so tiring"
I take KTM sometimes, it can be really exhausting because of the crowd. Something as simple as getting from one place to another becomes hard when the train is packed until you can barely move, especially during peak hours. People keep pushing in, there’s hardly any space to stand properly, and the whole ride feels stressful. The service is fine when it’s not full, but most of the time it’s just uncomfortable. I really hope they add more coaches or more trips

The ticket price feels a bit too high for what you’re actually getting. The trains still get delayed sometimes, and the seats or coaches aren’t always in great condition either. I mean, if the fares keep going up, the service should improve too, right? At the moment, it just doesn’t feel like good value for money

I’d say the accessibility was okay overall, but not quite where it should be. The wheelchair assistance did show up, just a bit late, which made things more stressful than they needed to be. The staff seemed like they were genuinely trying and were polite enough, so I don’t want to be too harsh, but when you’re waiting around and depending on that help, the timing really matters. It wasn’t a terrible experience, just one of those situations where you think, okay, this could definitely be handled better.

"Got on without much stress"
In the end, I’d give it 4 stars because I got on the KTM without much hassle, which was a nice change.

The boarding was smoother than I expected. The queue was clear, and the staff reminded people where to stand, so it didn’t feel too chaotic. It did slow down a bit when a lot of people arrived at once, but overall it was still manageable.

I tried booking train tickets on KTM B it nearly drove me insane. The pages were so slow, and at one point the site just froze after I picked my trip, like it had completely given up on life. The payment part was even worse. I filled in all my details, thought I was finally done, and then it failed. Just like that. Had to start all over again, and I wasn’t even sure whether my seat was still reserved or gone forever into the internet void. The whole website feels outdated and really not user friendly. Buying a train ticket should be a simple thing, but this took way too much time and patience.

"Always Sold Out and Feels a Bit Off"
Every time I check for tickets, they’re already sold out, even when I’m looking weeks in advance. The site itself works fine and is easy enough to use, but the availability is super frustrating. It also makes me wonder if there’s something going on behind the scenes, like tickets being held back or extra fees popping up later through other options. Just doesn’t feel very transparent.

"Pretty smooth trip planning and station experience"
I used KTM B to plan my trip, it was a decent experience. The station was mostly okay too, toilets were usable, the waiting area had enough seats, and the signboards were clear enough that I didn’t feel lost. The ticket counter line also moved faster than I expected, which was a nice surprise. Some parts of the station do feel a bit old, and it can get quite packed during peak hours. More charging points would definitely make it better. Overall, still a good experience and I’d give it 4 stars

Took the KTM recently and the aircond was quite disappointing. It wasn’t like the whole coach was unbearably hot, but some spots really felt warm and stuffy, especially once more passengers got in.

I wouldn’t say the trip was completely bad because the ride itself was quite smooth and okay. But at the same time, I was sweating a bit inside an aircond train, so it felt uncomfortable and kind of defeated the purpose.

Hopefully they check the aircond more regularly. I get that it might not be perfect all the time, but when you just want to sit down and cool off, this kind of thing really makes the journey less pleasant

I booked my train ticket through ktmb.com.my, it met my usual standard for what I expect from a proper booking site. The payment page was straightforward, nothing looked suspicious, and my ticket showed up in my email quickly.
At the station, the staff checked tickets properly, which I appreciated. I’m the type who feels better when there’s some control over who can enter the train area, especially at night, and it didn’t feel careless or messy.

The ride itself was calm, and I felt comfortable keeping my bag beside me. It’s not a perfect system, but when it comes to feeling safe and having a secure booking process, KTMB did fine for me.

"Still not practical for my everyday trips"
I’ve tried using KTMB a few times, but compared to other transport options I use, the route coverage still feels really limited. A lot of places I need to go aren’t connected properly, so I usually end up taking Grab or a bus after the train anyway. For daily travel, that gets annoying and makes it less convenient than I hoped.

I used ktmb.com to check the train schedule before my trip, and it was mostly accurate. The train left maybe 3 or 4 minutes late, so nothing too bad. The website itself was okay to use, not exactly lightning fast, but it got the job done. I do think it would be better if delay updates showed up a bit quicker, maybe within a few minutes, but overall I didn’t have any major issues
